Kinda completed the HK P7 collection today. There are so damn many of them, but I have the P7 PSP in all three finishes now.

If you ever shoot one, I believe that your opinion will change. I agree they are funny lookin' but they aren't uncomfortable.

Only problem that I see with them is that they get really hot when you fire more than a few mags through them at one time.

What is an unfired P7 worth? I have one sitting in my safe with the original box and all the paper work....

The thing with the P7's that there are so many variations. Unfortunately the one you have pictured is the most common one. They usually go from somewhere in between 600 to 1000 bucks depending on condition.

I know that you have probably never fired it, but when they were exported somewhere between germany and the U.S. they were refinished. Notice that the slide color on yours (and most that you will ever see) is kind of purple. That is normal, but indicates that it was refinished and probably a police trade in from Germany. Originally the slide color was black.

How long have you had your P7? It does look pretty good too, so I would probably put it closer to 1000 than 600 bucks as far as value. That finish will wear very quickly (notice mine) from a holster. Just the edges but it's easy to see if they have been handled much after the refinishing.

I know. You told me that the other day and I still can't believe it. You should just pick one up, seeing how it is one of the cheaper hk's that you can get. I think I saw one on hkparts.net for right around $600 in the standard finish. It might just replace that p30 of yours as your ccw. If you ever make it out to the va beach area we will go shoot mine.

I picked the gun up used for a smoking deal. But it already had the jet funnel kit installed.
