New Scope

Drove out Friday and picked this up. Previously I had a $15 Shooters Edge scope on my Remington 700 and it held zero pretty well, but I am extremely happy to step up to something a little more capable.

Got it mounted up Friday and took some pictures this afternoon. I haven't gotten to shoot it yet, that will hopefully happen in the next couple of weekends.

Scope: Nikon Monarch 3-12 X 42, BDC Reticle
Rings: Talley Lightweight Aluminum One Piece Mounts/Rings
Gun: Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308

I am hoping to get out to the range next weekend and see how it shoots.

It may be a while before I get to make any more changes to this rifle (although there are always tempting group buys on Snipers Hide). I think I'm still leaving a lot on the table as for as form/technique goes, so I want to get some more trigger time with better quality ammo and just work on the fundamentals.

I'm also hoping to get some pigs and a doe this season.
