Colt sells it as the M45a1. This one is one that was actually issued to MARSOC units. The finish wore off faster that what it should have, so Colt took them back and replaced them. They then got permission to release them for public sale.

Colt also sold the first run of them publicly, but the Corps didn't want them selling them with usmc on the slide so they went to the m45a1 nomenclature.
