Picked up a new toy to add to the cheap ass 1911 collection today. Really diggin the 2011, only bad thing is someone did a "trigger job" on it and completely ruined it IMO. It's super light, but a shit ton of pretravel and it's mushy as all hell.Comment

I traded for a Sphinx Compact SDP Alpha today. The fit and finish is very nice, as expected. I can't wait to shoot it this week.

Since I enjoyed shooting a Witness 9mm, and this is essentially just a very nice version of it, I imagine I will like it very much. The trigger and machining is already noticeably better than that gun (I did not shoot the Elite Witness). If it was really a $1,300 gun it would be absurd, but since I got it for sub $800 dollars it is a great deal.
