Thanks man. I like the look and feel of the full length rails. I bought the upper and lower from runner runner guns at the irving gun show. I went with a Holosun dot from primary arms- It is supposed to be a tier above the micro dots. It has a pretty cool auto-on function so every time you shoulder the rifle the dot is ready to go. They claim a 50k hour battery life on it. I'd be interested to compare it to a micro. Now for a stock and a sling.

Idk I was thinking the same thing when I unboxed it. I thought for sure it was a sticker. nope. At 2x the cost of a micro dot we will see if it is worth it. Battery is underneath so you have to remove base to change it, but it does streamline it. no knobs on either side.

I'm sure it's probably the same emitter, glass, and housing with those changes made. Either way the auto on (and I assume auto off) is worth enough to merit the increase.

It is definitely cool to have. You can turn it off manually or it has a six hour auto shut off (I guess no big deal when your battery lasts so long)

edit: it is also a different emitter. It is much slimmer than the microdot, hardly noticeable at all
