That would be why I'm looking at other options besides those or dd. I hear they both require special tools at added cost of an already expensive rail.

Yeah I avoid rails that use proprietary tools, already heavily invested in ar tools, don't need any more."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

It's a neat setup though."No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"

Originally posted by CJ View PostYHM is cheap, durable, but heavy. I'm personally not a big fan of quad rails, too much weight, uncomfortable to hold, unnecessary material. I have used the YHM diamondbacks, they are probably one of their lightest rails, but they are still considerably heavier than any mod rail. I prefer modular rails, all I need is the top rail, and then I can add a few rails on if I need accessories. I have 5 samson evo rails, I love them because they look good, are super light, and they are cheap. Another decent modular rail is the troy trx alpha, those are good rails too, but a little less comfortable to hold, and the attachment system is kind of tedious. Also 1.5" suppressors will not fit inside of the TRX rails, which sucks. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for.
I've also been drawn to the alg handgaurd as well."It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!"

I've never even shot a Para before. I just know the reputation they have."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
