My latest project. An original 1987 Delta Elite that needed some TLC. It had some not so good gunsmithing such as too much filed off the safety so it would not stay engaged, so it now has a Wilson safety, hammer and grip safety. I also installed some DE Wolff springs since the springs were of unknown origin. Next I need to redo the ejector then it will be good to go. I have some real Ivory grips on a Colt, but these buffalo bone grips are on my 80 series and this DE. I installed the emblems with a bit I bought from Brownells. I wish the bit were a few thousandths smaller. This DE has a serious "colt rattle."

It's a great truck gun. With the Leupold sighted in it's probably deadly accurate too. I'm self debating between this very rifle and a Ruger Scout in 308 for my bolt rifle.

I meant that it is too pretty to beat up. CZ makes outstanding guns and that mini Mauser is the cats meow.

I keep kicking around the idea of getting one of these. There is someone out there that mods the factory mag to be a flush fit and it looks really nice.

I had the hook up with CZ but just lost it. My clients son is a gun smith and works for them doing repairs and answering calls for tech support. Unfortunately my clients company moves him every 3-4 years and they just got a new project in OK so he moved to Tulsa; very unhappy to see them go.

CZ is offering the actions bare if you want to build one how you want it. I'll eventually screw one together in 6.5G.

I could not imagine being able to eclipse what CZ has already done with that rifle. It is damn near perfect as it comes. The thought of having it chambered in a better caliber does get me excited though.

I hope you plan of feeding it the good stuff. The Hornady 7.62x39 load is the best out there and I keep hoping that they will come up with a super performance version soon.

I feed Hornady ammo to my guns a lot, and when I buy brass and projectiles they are usually Hornady too. It's quality stuff for the price. I also buy Underwood ammo sometimes and they usually use Hornady brass. My AK gets fed steel junk, but it's an AK.

I have a bunch of that ammo but it doesn't feed well in many of my AKs so I kind of gave up shooting it. There would not be an issue with a bolt gun.

On my really nice AKs I try not to shoot any bi-metal jacketed bullets to preserve the life of the bore.

Probably a good idea. I've maybe put 100 rounds down the pipe. I'll get a case of those Hornady z-max or SST rounds, and see how they do.
