You can dust it.... but that may not work so well. I have mixed feelings about the rifles I dusted to relieve some of the stencil edge effects. My first recommendation is a judicious application of steel wool. That's right steel wool will make all the edges and colors blend a bit. Try an inconspicuous area first before you try dusting. Then you can always go with a satin or matte clear coat over it once you steel wool or dust it.

Honestly after looking at the closeup again, you have a pretty good dusting effect going on. I would seriously try steel wool and then some matte clear next. Don't forget to steel wool the clear.

Thanks. I might try that. I had a brain fart an dusted before I pulled the stencils. So there is none on the green. I also laid the "plugs" stencils too early. I should have put a coat down then those and another coat.

I am doing this one now.

Thanks. Dark gray > stencil > white > stencil > black > stencil > light gray. The white is down and hope I can get it finished tomorrow.

Took probably 2 hours to pull the stencil apart and lay it. Then paint, peel and then shade.

Ok I see, duracoated it first, laid stencil, then laid down the other colors. Roger that.

To do it again I would lay a much lighter color or two as my base.
