That would be why I'm looking at other options besides those or dd. I hear they both require special tools at added cost of an already expensive rail.

YHM is cheap, durable, but heavy. I'm personally not a big fan of quad rails, too much weight, uncomfortable to hold, unnecessary material. I have used the YHM diamondbacks, they are probably one of their lightest rails, but they are still considerably heavier than any mod rail. I prefer modular rails, all I need is the top rail, and then I can add a few rails on if I need accessories. I have 5 samson evo rails, I love them because they look good, are super light, and they are cheap. Another decent modular rail is the troy trx alpha, those are good rails too, but a little less comfortable to hold, and the attachment system is kind of tedious. Also 1.5" suppressors will not fit inside of the TRX rails, which sucks.
