Yeah the far right is a large pin SP1 conversion to a small pin. Yeah that's ineresting they chose the earlier forging style. I believe the reason for the change was the possibility of breaking the receiver by dropping while its detached from the upper, and also when bracing against the weapon when its pushed against an object as a rest. On the a1 if you rested the front of the rifle against a wall for instance, any downward pressure is applied directly to the front pins.
