                    I need an old French rifle for my collection. I would argue that no country in history has innovated more militarily than the French.

                              The Chauchat was revered by its contemporary users. It wasn't until it was haphazardly converted to 30-06 and given to Americans that it earned a reputation as a parts kit to make a still.
