Thought you had already gotten a lower? What kind of hookup do you need for an FFL? You pay for the lower, they send it to the FFL who transfers it to you for a small fee.

Yes i already have "1" but have a couple more plans for different builds as money comes along.. lr rifle and an extra for..???We are wanting the best FFL price to keep the lowers as cheap as possible.

yes, it woukd be nice to find an ffl that will charge per form, and not per lower. It's the same paperwork for 1 as it is 5. No reason to charge more.

A girl i work with has a boyfriend with a retarded amount of weapons like some of yall and said he knows several FFL guys who might give a good deal (he will call and ask). or maybe i can give you his # and you can call.. Any FFL that charges us $10 a unit stands to make $1,000-1,500 for their troubles. I would rather pay a $25 FFL transfer fee for my 7 at one time vs 7 $10 fees. I do see where most folks only buying 2 or less are not so affected by the $10 per. But those of us looking at multiples are making the bulk of the order.

That's the best option so far. It sounds like he just needs some clarification on the amount of lowers he can transfer on a 4473.

The idea that we would pay a $10-$15 FFL fee per lower is outrageous. It's further outrageous that it's being presented under the guise of fairness.

I'll -and I don't think I'm allone here- back out if we have to do a separate 4473 for each lower. At some point it's going to become cost prohibitive.

If we get an FFL that will do multiple lowers per 4473 than I'm inclined to add one or two more.

Let's clarify some points so that we're all aware...

You can Transfer up to five serial numbers per 4473. If you transfer more than three serial numbers to one individual in a one week timespan you must fill out additional paperwork listing that individuals name among other things then snail mail the required paperwork to BATFE.

It is not a requirement to do a 4473 for each lower BUT our risk as an FFL is based on a per serial number transfer basis. It's not often that an FFL does ONE HUNDRED serial transfers at once. It's an incredible amount of paperwork to be filled out, phone calls for non CHL holders to the NICS background check line, among the time it takes to fill out additional paperwork for mutiple firearms transfer sales. We're a business, and as a business we have a cost of doing certain things within the context of how we operate.

Understanding the fact that that we're a Federally Licensed Firearms dealer, and we have to follow extremely rigid guidelines as a business that deals in firearm product is important. It's not a simple transaction like any other non Federally regulated product. Every serial number we transfer carries with it a risk to our business. Our quote for this large order is nothing more than what we set as a just compensation for that risk.

Plain and simple...

I encourage capitalism at all levels, if there is another FFL who is willing to do the work to transfer a 100+ serial order for a lower cost then that's exceptional, and possibly a good deal.

See if he's up for that, most of his will be under 3, only a handful are more.
