Getting a rifle off my old man for cheap, I will mainly use it for hunting, but i want to make it as accurate as possible. What are some good things to do to get the best accuracy out of it. This will be my first bolt gun actually! Its a 30-06, with the wood stock. Thanks in advance!

Just make sure it isn't an X-Mark Pro trigger, lol. After that, just shoot the motherfucker. Don't tacticool out your hunting rig, or you'll hate humping it around.

Float the barrel and put a trigger in it and you'll be good to go. Good quality ammo and accuracy should be great.

Jewell, Timney or Shilen. I run all 3 in various guns. The Jewell is out of this world but also the most expensive and the other two are very well built. You can't really go wrong with either of the 3.

DNZ makes a good product. Other good options are Talley and Leupold rings are pretty good and reasonable. Just make sure you get the correct height so your objective clears.
