I got tired of doing the old drill thing so I took a bunch of junk I had lying around and made a half assed machine. It is by far no Giraud but it didin't cost $500 either.

What kind of temps do you need to get to anneal brass?

It depends on who you ask. Some say 650 but I can't reach that with out causing the head to get too hot. I do mine for about 4 seconds while spinning and the head is warm but not too hot. If you can't hold it at all it is likely too hot.

Cool. That Giraud isn't a bad deal, if you buy all the caliber conversions with it.

I can't justify the Giraud since I don't do huge lots of brass at a time.

yeah, should definitely work. If you could find a bigger sprocket, and then offset the cases and run a big gear reduction, you could really get moving on volume. Looks like a fun project. I love it when I cheat and make shit myself.

That's the end plan if I ever find a bigger gear. I already have a larger motor waiting. Also will be switching to map gas since the torch us level or a little below and will likely flood out if used to much at an angle.
