Even still the performance of the cartridge is awesome. I don't plan on shooting out past 200y anyway. My rifle is a close range br. I'd like to have something with the close range ballistics. Plus 300blk is cool as hell

You don't "have" to run 16".
Do a pistol and a Sig Tac brace. Then you can be as short as you like.

Not to thread hijack, but what all is involved in reloading 300blk and what is the cost? I might be interested in swapping barrels or selling my upper to buy a 300blk upper.

buy m80 147gr ball surplus rounds, I load 15gr of Alliant 2400 behind it for 1950fps out of my 9.5" It's pretty fucking hot. That was my load before load data existed. Then come to find out hornady's load data lists max charge for 2400 on a 150gr has 12.5gr or something, hahaha. The cases are good for 1 firing, then the primers fall out.

Probably whatever I can get for the smallest out of pocket + my upper. I just have to figure out what my setup is worth.

I had more of a specific idea in mind for mine so I just ordered all the parts and put together.

I have seen some uppers for $399 but who knows on the quality.
You can probably find whatever you want in the high $400 low 500 range and cover most of it with your Bushmaster upper.
