That's because it may require the gun to be sighted it again with a different bolt lug lockup. There's nothing wrong with doing it outside of an inconvenience. Also different rifles have different armory sheets so their wear and maintenance is recorded. You could have someone pull out a BCG from a heavy use rifle and put it into a newer rifle and end up having failures, etc. that were not forseen on the maintenance.

Finally got to the range today. No issues with cycling. I ran 4 different types of ammo to see how it chewed through it. Federal, PPU, Independence, and some Tul. I spent a good deal of time just getting familiar with the gun. It was a blast to shoot, however, I do need to invest in some BUIS. Any recommendations on flip up sights that won't completely break the bank?

Side bar: the range I go to is ran by a couple of ex military guys, I was surprised tonight when a small two person helicopter landed behind me! I was hoping to see an aerial demonstration, but no luck. They offer helicopter tactical courses IIRC.

Those look like the A.R.M.S. poly sights.
