  • Sig Sauer SB15 Pistol Stabilizing Brace

This looks pretty interesting for AR pistols. ATF has reviewed this product and determined that attaching the SB15 to a firearm does not alter the classification of the firearm or subject the firearm to NFA control.

If you can afford that, you can afford a tax stamp, IMO.

I'm using it as a temp until my stamps come in.

I would advise you not to buy this product.

I guess the question is, does how you use it change it's legality? If you take the straps off and just put it to your shoulder, is still legal?

Get a letter from the ATF. It's their job to clarify their rules, and they won't hesitate to send it in writing.

I leave my straps on, just velcroed up.

Yeah I shot one of these sunday. Interesting concept. It cost as much as a stamp. My suggestion would be to take the money and send in another form1. in 6-12 years when it comes back you'll thank me.

They are actually selling these on a complete rifle...I just about bought one less than an hour ago but want a gas piston setup. It was basically a 10.5" M516 with this stock on it with the correct pistol parts. Gunshop owner was going to let it go for $1335...so hard to walk out the door without it.

How long is the wait list at adam's arms?

Ah, so you want an Adam's Arms piston AR15?

wanted about 1.5 years ago, but stopped looking as the lead times were so long. Now I have parts laying around and need to finish it.

Link to your story or suggestion on better option?

Well, I try to stay open minded about their kits, because they have been relatively proactive in helping me. My problem mostly likely revolves around the fact I'm using a pistol length gas system/op rod. That length gas system is the wild west, there is no standardization. I had a barrel specifically cut to THEIR specifications (adam's arms) and I'm still having problems left and right with it. It *appears* to me that their bolt was machined wrong, they are sending me a new one. I have had countless failures and other problems with their kit(s) (I can't call it a "kit" anymore as I've gone through 3 now). It is by far the least reliable gun I have.
