Does anyone wet tumble? Is that even worth it? That's what I'm leaning towards, but it looks like I'd only be able to tumble a few hundred cases at a time, and then I'd have to wait a couple days to let them dry. Should I just get a media tumbler and not mess with it?

I use an ultra sonic for primer pockets then throw them in a tumbler. I've been using walnut shell media lately it doesn't polish to the high luster that corn media does but it will clean heavier corrosion off better."It's another burrito, it's a cold Lone Star in my hand!"

I just picked up an ultra sonic to use in conjunction with my tumber. Basically, the ultra sonic is just for the primer pockets and the tumber does the rest.
Though I use Corn Cob media cuz I like shinny things
Either way though, you will end up with a tumber and a ultra sonic cleaner once you procure a metric $hit ton of brass...primer pockets are the devil...and case trimming is right alongside them.Originally posted by Sean88gtYou can take white off the list. I've thought about switching to wet media (stainless) tumbling, just have t pulled the trigger yet. For now corn cob media and a little nu-finish works just fine..."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I am sure that in time I will either find one in stock or find another way to do it more efficiently. Though, if I was loading match rounds, I would not have a problem doing it by hand.Originally posted by Sean88gtYou can take white off the list. As far as the Lee Case Trimmer, I got the delux trimmer and dies at Midway USA. Works very well.

As far as brass, I use the Harbor Freight Ultrasonic with Lyman Turbo Sonic concentrate with distilled water. When they are clean, I rince them in cold water, shake them, and put them in a small convection oven in my shop (the same one I use for curing powder coat and CeriKote) for a couple of hours at 150+ degrees to dry them. When dry, I put the cases in a Harbor Freight tumbler with a combination of walnut shells and corn cob and Iosso Brass Case Polish until shiny. Using the brass polish cuts down a LOT on the time required to get them done. It used to take over a day without the polish. Now it takes a couple of hours to get them looking like new. Then I punch the primers out and clean up the pockets on a Lyman case prep machine before doing any other sizing or conditioning.

What most guys use. Make sure to put red loctite on EVERYTHING. I know CJ's likes to shake apart.
