Cheapest shotgun coating?

I got this shotgun in a trade with some other stuff. I plan on keeping it for home defense but would like it all "tacticool" black. I've never coated a gun so........ Thoughts?

Mossberg 12g pistol grip shot gun to the left.

You should just get a synthetic fore end (like a speedfeed), and roll. That's probably the cheapest way to do it. The Brownell's Alumahyde II doesn't require baking, and it comes in a spray can, so that's a good option. The real advantage to a cerakote-style baked on coating is, you can rattle-can new patterns over it, then scrub them off.
