RCBS Rebate is 500 projectiles or $50

Ah I never did click on the coupon I just saw the save $50 at the bottom of page.

Man that is tempting to get the bullets and skip the $50 off!

You're getting a better deal if it's 500 projectiles compared to $50 off.

Especially if you dont get the .223's. I'd do 9mm, personally.

Shoot, anything above the .223 projectiles and you're coming out ahead.

Just need to wait for some Midway coupons to pop up. I wonder if that impacts the $300 rebate.

One benefit to the RCSB kit is that the press can be upgraded to a progressive with some add ons

I laughed so hard the first time I read that, I told Jester that's sig material.

Generally if the rebate is from the manufacturer, they shouldn't care if you have a coupon with the retailer.

If you were just starting to get into reloading I would recommend either a single stage or a turret style. Minimal initial investment. Decide if you like it and then move up to a progressive. You can start with a progressive if you like as well, I just don't recommend it unless you plan on loading 1000+ rounds each run. If it's going to be a few hundred here and there then it isn't worth the investment. I see guys buying Dillon 650's and all they do is load 500 rounds of 9mm a year.

Here's what I ordered from Natchez. Some of it obviously won't apply to everyone.

                            I will reload .223, 9mm, .40, .45, 6.8, 30-06
                            Code:
                            LEE90110	LEE CASE TIMMER CUTTER&LOCK STUD	$4.49	1	$4.49
                            LEE90101	LEE PRIMER POCKET CLEANER	$2.49	1	$2.49
                            MTP10045	MT MAG 100 AMMO BX 45A/10MM/40S	$2.44	1	$2.44
                            LEE90997	SAFETY PRIMER FEEDS SM & LG	$18.99	1	$18.99
                            LEE90965	LEE 4 DIE SET 40 S&W/10MM CARBID	$37.62	1	$37.62
                            LEE90968	LEE 4 DIE SET 45 ACP CARBIDE	$37.62	1	$37.62
                            LEE90064	CLASSIC TURRET PRESS	$94.99	1	$94.99
                            LEE90041	AUTO DISK RISER	$6.49	1	$6.49
                            LEE90195	LEE DOUBLE DISK KIT	$9.49	1	$9.49
                            PH836017	BULLET PULLER	$13.99	1	$13.99
                            LEE90194	LEE RIFLE CHARGING DIE	$9.63	1	$9.63
                            60N	NATCHEZ CATALOG	$0.00	1	$0.00
                            LEE90109	LEE CHAMFER TOOL	$2.49	1	$2.49
LEE90429	LEE PRO AUTO DISK POWDER MEASURE	$32.49	1	$32.49
                            LEE90269	EXTRA 4-HOLE TURRET	$8.31	3	$24.93
                             	Subtotal Items:	$298.15
                             	Shipping:	$25.41
                             	Hazmat:	$0.00
                             	Total Order:	$323.56
I then got .223 dies at the fun show ($28 from an outfit in Denton), 30-06 dies and a swager off arfcom. An electronic scale off Amazon. Bullets from Shooters Proshop (.223 Nosler) and Delta Precision (9mm, 40, 45). Powder and primers I got from the gun show from a shop in Mesquite.

I got 40 brass from arfcom (local, $35/1k), 45 from myself and arfcom and 6.8 from arfcom (30-06 I've collected mine). I need 223 brass still.

A lot of cash... but I think being able to make it myself in times of need is worth it to me.

I'm really torn between the RCBS kit and the Lee kit as well!! It's hard to determine if the price difference is worth it for an occasional reloader.
