  • Help me build my next AR

I just picked up a sweet S&W M&P stripped lower for $100 shipped, and want to build a top of the line AR.

What is the best quality LPK out there? Daniel Defense? PSA?

I'm also considering going with an upper that is the creme of the crop, but I'd like to get one in the 11.5" to 14" range. What twist rate is best for a short barrel carbine?

Most short barrels are 1/7. I love my BCM 11.5" BFH upper/barrel.

One would have to be high to spend $300 on an lpk for any m16 or Ar rifle.

$300 sounds good to me for that kit.

Cheaper than Dirt has a drop in trigger kit but its around the same price. but you would have a sweet trigger setup.

Just pick up a run of the mill parts kit and polish it up. If you want a trigger buy one separate. Also you'll need a trust and your $200 for your SBR stamp. Premium AR = piston setup.
