You don't maintain your cheek weld? What kind of stock are you running? You have to have some pretty damn good muscle memory to repeat the cheek weld for groupings IMO. To each his own, but I have way better luck if I don't pull my face off of the stock in between groupings, lol.

What kind of scopes are you guys using that moving your eye relief changes the point of aim? As long as your parallax is set it doesnt matter where your eye is, if you can see the reticle, it's on target. I use a front focal plane, maybe that's something with traditional scopes.

Any scope that parallax is out will cause problems whether it be a traditional fixed parallax or a side focus type or objective adjusted type.To confirm you are corectly focused, without moving the gun move your head slightly, if the crosshairs move it is not focused.

I'm asking what kind of scope has a POI shift when parallax is correct.

It shouldn't if it is correct, that's what I'm wondering if his is out since it happens occasionally.

Well, I offered to take him to my range and watch him shoot the gun at 100 and 200 yards and see if we can figure it out.

I'm using a Millet 4x16x50. It does have a parallax adjustment. Maybe mine is off, or maybe it's mental. But like I said, I have better results if I shoot a strand without removing my cheek.

It's one less thing you have to do just right if you leave your head in place, one less variable. A big thing with side parallax is consistently using it not adjusting between shots in a group.

As long as you're not changing your distance your parallax should remain the same.

Yes but it is very common to see people cranking on the side parallax knob between shots.

It seems these people are stupid.

I agree, but there also seems to be a misconception that It's just a focus knob and does nothing else.
