AR-15 build .300 BLK conversion question

That's still a sub $1600 rifle. So that leaves you $400. That's get you an Aimpoint, Eotech or decent (not amazing, but very usable) scope.

First build, first ar. I've shot ar's before, but never owned one. Regular ar rounds are too small for my taste. No reason really, just like the bigger rounds. I have "Tim Taylor" disease, always want more power. I figured if I'm going to take the time and money to build myself a gun, I might as well make something that I'm really proud of.

If you have a $2k budget, and want a long barrel, you're an idiot if you don't build an AR10. .300 blackout is just not for what you want.
