    Popularity mostly. It's usually cheaper to buy an AR10 than build one. Expect to spend $1,200.

        Seriously so G3 mags are less than 1$ to your door ? I really doubt that, I know they're cheap and all but no need to exagerate.

        I'm just saying it's probably a neglible difference at this point. OK maybe depending on how many mags you want, but I figure most ppl don't need more than 10 mags, so I don't see a reason to pursue a G3 lower is all i was saying.

          Yes, they are $0.99 at CTD, and I've bought them as cheap as $0.79 last September. The most you see them is around $1.98. They are aluminum and literally weigh nothing, you can easily knock an ounce or two off your rifle weight.

            I got a box of 50 aluminum g3 mags for like $80 direct from ptr91 last year.

                  HK quality, never had a single problem with them. They are stamped aluminum body with a stainless follower.
