If by that statement you mean that you end up with something costing 3x the amount of the original purchase by the time you're happy with it, then yes. It's exactly like a fox body.

I never said anything about being happy with it. I was relating the aftermarket, not the initial state of the vehicle/rifle and it requiring a bunch of parts to make it "good". I love mine (10/22) as is, minus a couple convenience items like larger mags and a reloader. Who wouldn't be happy with a stock 10/22? If they bought it just for the sake of modding it all to hell, sure I understand that. But in its original state, its still a great rifle.
