I have heard bad things about the carbon lowers, from what I've been told several have failed, and most eventually have problems. However, that appears to just be a handguard and barrel cover.

I still dig that hand guard and the barrel. Not sure if its CF lapped or just fake, but either way it looks sweet. Also really dig the silver finish on the upper and lower. Its just badass because it looks different. Not overly tacticool, and looks unique.

I saw a Bushmaster Carbon 15 with a red dot on it at Academy in Lufkin for $699. I had thought about buying it but like CJ mentioned I read some bad things after doing some research and decided against it.

I know somebody who has a .50 upper on a plum crazy (Composite) lower and hasnt had any issues

As per the OP is that composite lower or just duracoated. I suspect duracoat since its color matched with the upper
