Sorry for the noob question, but its the powder or primer thats corrosive, nothing about the brass, correct? I have some shitty reloads I picked up at a gun show before I knew any better. I can barely put 50 rounds thru the HK without the barrel being full of crap from the loads. But the problem is I have 100 or so rounds of this stuff left over. Can I just yank the bullets and re-use the brass?

Is say chuck it up as a loss. You don't know how many times those shells have been fired or if they were reloaded correctly. I wouldnt fuck around with things that go boom

The brass is what corrodes due to the corrosiveness of the powder.
Most commercial reloads that i've seen are crap because tey are loaded with cheap slowburning powder. Has shit ballistics (cup pressure and velocity) and as you've seen leaves a lot of crap in the barrel.
I wouldnt reuse it, decent brass is cheap and the effort to uncork, reload and still have a question with the history of the brass is just not worth it.

I'll just have to clean between each 50 or so. Last time I went through a whole box it ruined an extractor on my HK.
