I have a 10/22 with a carbon barrel, upgraded stock, match trigger setup, and a nice scope. Its a tack driver...with match ammo, I can group 2 to 3 inch groups at 100 yards, which is good enough to make hitss on squirrls and birds. At 50 yards, its under a inch. I love taking long shots with it...but my buddy has a really nice CZ in 17hmr. Its the heavy barrel model, and its much better suited for taking shots at 100 yards. One thing to consider..the 17hmr is quite a bit louder if you are shooting in a urban setting
