Ill just stick with the Kahr. Both very nice guns but like I said, out of my price range. Being a broke-ass college kid isnt fun...

Been doing some looking. Doesn't seem like they are produced any more, but anyone have experience with the Sig P239 in .40?

Taller, wider, heavier and less capacity than a Glock 27, XD SC, etc...

They are SWEET shooting little guns. While they may be somewhat heavier than polymer framed pistols, by no means are they uncomfortable to carry.

My uncle and a good friend of mine both carry one daily, and they love them. They are essentially a successor to the P6(P225) that I carry, very similar design and dimensions, and in a Crossbreed Supertuck, my P6 is a pleasure to carry.

If you keep your eyes open for a good deal to come along, you can pick them up used for 400-500.

I like my G27 just fine, and I am also left handed.

The only complaint I've heard from you so far has been regarding the slide release... If you're in a situation where you need to reload your subcompact .40, call Rambo

True, I may go for the Glock. The Sig is nice too, though. Damn too many options when it gets down to it, but none are EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Gotta decide on what point to settle. Really the Glock is the least favorable. Yes the slide release is one point, but the other point is the fact that its double stack and just as fat as my USP-C. The other 4 (Taurus, Kahr, Sig, Walther) are all single stack. I stopped by my step-dad's today and he has a PK380 which is similar in size to the PPS and he has one of those cheapo $19 IWB holsters and it fit quite nicely.

So not to open the floodgates to countless options for carry weapons as I am trying to whittle the selection down, but is limiting myself to .40 S&W simply due to the fact that its what I already own, stupid? The more I look around, the more other options stand out like 9mm and .380acp.

It really boils down to which trigger/fire control mechanism you like best. I prefer a traditional DA/SA over the striker fired guns, but everyone is different.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the guns you listed, except for the Taurus, I would scratch that from the list. Sure, some people swear by them, but the other guns you have listed are on a whole different level of quality.

As far as caliber choice, there is nothing stupid about wanting to keep it consistent with your other guns. Much easier to keep a good supply of ammo around when you only have to buy one caliber.

As for the cheapo holsters, that is another area where you will be much better off spending a little more. The Crossbreed I recommended is only about $60, custom made to fit your exact gun, and guaranteed for life. Not worth the $20-40 you would save by going cheap, IMO.

The glock 27 is narrower than the sig you were asking about.

So looks like both are off the list. Down to the walther and kahr. Time to go shoot

The PM line is roughy $200 more than the comparable CW weapon. Other than having the option of either a 3 or 4 finger grip, I can't tell a difference, especially not a $200 difference

I paid 520$ for my PM9 new. Forged slide release, polygonal rifled barrel, and some other miscellaneous stuff. I wanted a pocketable gun. There is nothing wrong with the CW9, and the CM9 (same size as PM9, with standard rifled barrel, MIM slide release, etc. Should be priced about 420$ @ sporting arms.
