That post was a jab at the whole "is steel cased ammo okay?" argument.

      Jab away, my bad.

FWIW, I don't care if I look like a cheap ass @ the range.

What I hate is that Korean bullshit which is brass plated steel berdan primed. They've broken a few pins.

My Del-Ton does not like the Tula steel. After a mag and a half its jam up time. Hell I had a Tula steel jam in my ak74 this weekend. =P The DT rifle is fine as long until the build up gets too much then it jams hard enough the extractor rips a chunk off the rim of the casing. If I scrub it out I can get another mag and half or so before the next jam.

Order a BCM bolt upgrade kit. I upgraded my bolt and haven't had this issue since.

You running a true 5.56 mil spec upper?

I believe it is. This is the link to the rifle Clicky. Will look up the upgrade cause I am all for anything that lets me plink the cheap stuff.

Maybe I can take one of my lowers and build a steel ammo dedicated gun to see just how much abuse they can take.

I think gas piston will help with keeping the bolt cleaner and much cooler to eliminate those factors out of the equation.

But what caliber is gonna be the cheapest to shoot?
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

My del-tons came with a tag that specifically stated no steel case. I guess there is a reason. A gun that can not run a thousand rounds of one type of ammo between cleanings without malfunction is not a gun/ammo combination I would keep around.

When it comes to shooting 500 rounds VS 250. I'll be a cheap ass and enjoy my day more.
