The sad thing is that those are barrels off of a 16" gun like on the Battleships. I was in GTMO back in 1989 when one of the USS Iowa's guns exploded. I had been on the Iowa just two weeks prior when it was in GTMO for refresher training. I still have a ship's hat from her.

I just had a good laugh imagining a standard diameter Ar15 gas tube running the length of one of those pipes.
