Are there any further details or am I missing something again?
I ask since 6.8 is on my list of something with a longer barrel and if price is right I may just buy this and wait another year or two before moving on to the other parts.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I only want to have 1 rifle (besides my 22) that has a shorter barrel. All the others I'd prefer to be 20" going forward.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

If you dont reload the 6.8 is about $1 a round for the decent stuff. Which reminds me I need to start pricing reloading equipment.
You can build a .223 for cheap and the ammo is plenty. Unless you are going to hunt with the AR like I am I would stick with the .223. The 6.8 is kind of a hybrid between a .270 bullet and a .223 casing. Most people call it a .270 light since it uses the same bullet but does not have the range.
For the areas I hunt in Texas the 6.8 is perfect. Short barrel, light weight, little recoil, and packs a punch that will take anything here. If I need long range I will bring out my .308
