  • holographic reflex sight Vs Red dot

What do you guys use and prefer? What are some pros's and cons on both. I am confused and don't know what I want to get.

I have (2) Walther Red Dot's and the parallax compensation is horrible on these. I can move my head back and forth and the dot just moves like crazy. I think holo's dont have much of an issues like this.

The dots are dead accurate...but only when I align my face and eye to put the dot on the top post...

I was thinking about getting a Truglo 2x42 Traditional red dot sight or A NcStar 1x24x34 Red Dot Reflex Sight.

I have no problem with my vortex strikefire red dot.

Sure its no aimpoint, but whereever the dot it thats where it going.

I have an Eotech. Stays on target no matter where you put your head. Easy shooting and acquiring target with both eyes open. It works FOR ME.

I was looking for something a little cheaper. There sights cost more than my gun

There's a less expensive option made by Eotech for Bushnell. It doesn't have the metal shield to go over it like the Eotech. I did only pay $350 for mine though.

Link? Same quality and toughness of a normal eotech?

I meant Bushnell not Burris. Sorry guys, had a brain fart.

That still cost more than my cheap highpoint 4095ts. Would make no sense to put something that good on my little target gun. lol

I don't have any experience with them but they seem to be the same as far as the optics. The buttons are different and there's no metal cover so they just can't handle the abuse, drops, etc.

                        Look up the Bushnell Holosight.

You could always get one of the air soft versions for under $100.

I don't think I would put one of there air soft versions on it. Truglo has some some red dots and reflex sights that have gotten great reviews for cheaper than a 100 bucks thou

This the one? If so, I like the aesthetics...and I'm not a combat troop, my stuff gets treated pretty delicately so drops = not an issue
