  • I want new grips (colt Mark IV series 80)

    I'm thinking black but if anyone has a better opinion with pics i will consider that too.. can someone find me a nice set between $25-$50-ish DFWM's can decide for me as long as it doesnt look 80's ish.. TIA

        i dont have a 1911 to compare... I'm assuming the grips will work of a 1911? Kinda my reason for starting the thread.. i dont have another 1911 type .45 to compare

            Also look at the grips from Esmeralda. She is this indian or mexican chick that makes grips. Her last name is O'Sheehan which makes for a pretty funny name for a chick that is obviously not Irish...



            She makes some really pretty grips in wood. I have a pair on my Les Baer.

            Also Colt 1911s look really good in ivory.... www.nutmegsports.com
            This guy used to run the Colt Custom Shop and then went out on his own making grips and doing gunsmithing on Colt SAA's. He does very good work. I have his ivory on my SAA and on a 1911 and on my Python.

                You can get some Pearce Grips from Brownells that are inexpensive and durable. Their a soft rubber.

                Though I like the way it looks as is.

                  The ones cooter has would look cool on it haha.

                  There are alot of grip makers out there.

                  A cheap way to get decent grips is goto forums of popular gun makers that you like their grips and hit the for sale forums.

                  I really like your gun btw.

                  Im still on the search for a old colt. I will find one that some old man has.
