Painting iron sights

Who's painted their iron sights on a pistol before? I have a Ruger LCP and an LCR that I want to paint the sights on. I see some TRUGLO sells some paint for doing this. Wasn't sure if this is the way to go, maybe some model paint or nail polish. Or maybe some fluorescent spray paint. Thoughts?
