  • ar 15 upper question

Anyone know where I can find a list of the parts I would need to build a complete flattop upper for an ar15?

Also, is there enough of a difference between a 1:7 barrel and a 1:9 that would warrant paying the extra money? For a gun that I plan on taking to the range, would I be shorting myself by going with the 1:9?

1/9 actually works best with most store bought ammo imho.

Either will be fine. the limiting factor with ar's and heavy bullets anyway is mag length.

If it is a plinking gun go for the 1:9 twist, if you plan on shooting heavier than 62 grain bullets I suggest you pick up a 1:7 twist to give it the necessary spin that heavier bullets demand.
