I've been wanting one of these for awhile now and finally got one tonight. I can't wait to take it the range Monday and put a some rounds through it. What do you guys think for a 1911 newbie?

I try and convert anyone i can to a 1911 shooter. I let a kid shoot my kimber at the range the other day and you would have thought i gave him the ok to fuck my wife he was so excited.

I waited way too long to get my Kimber. I had plastic guns for years, but there is just something about the 1911. It doesn't hurt that I'm a bit more accurate with my 1911 than my Glock 23.

I was planning on saving it for when I do start to reload. I was going to buy the equipment with some of my my gun budget but this purchase was unplanned and now the budget is empty for awhile. Between this, new AR and the goodies to go with, it'll be awhile before I make anymore purchases.

I almost bought an XDM but figure what's an extra $150-200, it's only money. I'd rather buy what I REALLY wanted.

Exactly what I thought. I don't settle when I want something.

Well I went and put 150 rounds through it today. Worked flawlessly but was shooting about an inch to the left from about 10 yards. The wind was blowing pretty good but I don't know how much it was affecting me? I ended up getting some good groupings and my best was sub 2". I didn't think that was too bad considering my experience level. Overall I am very pleased with it.

I took it back the next day, got the sights zeroed and was hitting dead center. It's more of a range, HD gun for me so I'm glad I got the adjustable sights. It makes shooting it more fun for me if I can hit where I'm aiming.

With the cost of .45 ammo it breaks my heart to miss my target and it hurts just shooting paper ! Bang.75c bang .75c bang.75c and that's the cheap fmj my home defense hp +p+ is 2.15 a shot I had to run a clip to make sure is shot and cycled correctly and that I would trust it with my life . I was happy with it till I realized I had just pissed 35.00 in ammo out the window
