Why would one of the guys at B&S Guns today tell me he thought those type of holsters were illegal now?

Pretty sure it is an NFA item if you can shoot with pistol still in the wallet....requires correct paperwork and tax stamp. Law may have changed though, thats what it was a few years ago.

Ok, so not illegal but not walk in, pay, walk out type deal. Still cool nonetheless.

I just searched and it looks like it may be ok since the slide is not concealed, the ones that are totally concealed and can be fired are considered to be AOW....

Thanks guys for answering that. I have yet to look into anything ATF related beyond SBR's, suppresors, etc. Glad to learn something new.

i own one and they are legal..
Because this holster does not place the gun in a container, the ATF ruled this holster is exempt from the this law and is available to consumers without any additional registration, tax stamps, etc.

Just picked up the Ruger LC9($355)...still in the box so no review yet. Small yet comfortable.

Not my pic, but here it is compared to the LCP

I picked up a taurus TCP a couple weeks ago, roughly the same size as the ruger LCR but a bit cheaper, comes with two mags standard, and does lock the slide back when empty. The deciding factor for me was that it feels better in my larger hand.

Any idea how a KelTec .380 fits in one? The guns are just about the same.

                            I'm interested if it's a good fit.

I love my Kahr CW40. It's a 6+1, locking slide, super light and thin and crazily enough doesn't print in my rear pocket of my jeans, but I have no CHL so I don't carry it anyways...at least not until I finally become unlazy and get my CHL

Who cares if it's ugly? It is just a pocket holster. Looks to be very functional and should save time if you need to draw quickly.
