Yeah, it's an Alaska thing, very little makes it up here without having to be flown in. Hazmat fees made it unrealistic unless you were buying several pallets of ammo at a time.

Is that just an Alaska thing? Reason I ask is I ship ammo somewhat often and UPS only requires it be marked ORM-D and go ground only.Originally posted by fastwhite99gt View PostWonder if Trump will make the ATF back off on the rules about shipping ammo? It sure would be nice to not have to pay the extra for the hazmat fees just to get it to Alaska!

looks like I may finally be able to afford something akin to an AR finally. I've been wanting something for hog hunting.

I'll start buying .22rounds like it's water, once the bricks drop down to $10.
Prior to Obama, I was in the habit of buying a brick here and there and have ~15k rounds of .22 at this point.

Went to one local gun shop and they said it was extremely busy yesterday, however there was still a good lot of ammunition left and today it was a ghost town...

Shit, when my dad shot skeet competitively, he would buy shells and get a brick of .22 for free. I spent many days while he was practicing at the rifle range plinking away.Originally posted by Grimpala View PostI can remember 100 rnd boxes of Stingers and minimags going for $3, bring that shit back!
