I was planning to buy my dad one of these with the octagon barrel in .357 for Christmas. He said always wanted one plus he has a S&W 686 so he could use the same rounds for both. The above makes me think twice though. Is this a known issue with these and is it fixable?

Not sure, just know his has issues. I'm sure it's correctable.

Off topic but more pics and size of fish pond? All my fish died in mine the other day and I want to dig out a bigger spot.

Let me dig some out. 12 x 19 or something and only about 2 foot deep maybe three in the deep end. Mine is established fairly well and I have a tarp above it that keeps the sun, and hawks out of it. I have never lost a fish due anything but predators. I run a savoy skimmer and ultraviolet light to kill all the floating algae. I sweep it and clean the filters every few months. I wish I would ahve dug it deeper but it is fine.

Always had and loved koi ponds. Need to set one up at my current house.


And I was always thinking of making an automated filling setup. Something that detects when the water gets low, adds the appropriate amount of declorinator, and then fills up the pond to the proper level.

The skimmer I have has that as a add on feature. Prob one of the best features. I had run it using refrigerator plastic line but every 2 to 3 years blew a line. This year I used stainless so I should have no issues. I am big about having low maint stuff. You don't need a dechlorinator while just adding small amounts.

BTW the Henry looks kick ass. I've been wanting to get one for awhile.

And the Koi pond looks fantastic, I have a Saltwater aquarium and it keeps me busy so I wouldn't have time for a Koi pond.

Also, what is on the wall that you felt the need to photoshop out?

AC unit. I was just screwing around. The Koi pound I hardly ever mess with. The wife feeds them out of her hand I just clean the filters every now and again.

Hmm... how small are these amounts? How much can you actually add, without ever having to and dechlor? And what happens to the chlorine? I guess it doesn't build up somehow, although it seems like it could.
