New toy!

I don't know why but I have always wanted one of these. I was kidding the wife and told her if the store in Hachie had one I would buy it. Kind of a random deal. Well they had a few of them in different flavors. I probably should have got the regular one but I want the heavy octagon barrel. I fired a few rounds and I really like it. It did not like the .22 Shorts for some reason.

Looks like it. My cousin has one in .357, it doesn't like to load them for some reason. It will run nicely through .38 all day long.

Yes a Henry Golden Boy or something. It runs through 22lr and my 22 shots shells like a champ. Just the shorts were being delicate.

My buddy, who wants my FX4 hidden winch set up has either a 44 or .45 long and a 30-6. Maybe I can work a trade! Not a Henry though, maybe a Marlin or something.

LOL it took photobucket a day to fix that. I was just screwing around and thought "that needs to go". It is in the garage and has never worked that great. LOL I think it was there to supplement when the garage was a bed room prior to me buying the house.

I ordered a paracord sling for it and my wife said uhhhh no. So then I ordered a legit looking Brass Tackers leather set up. Anyone need a Henry sling!

I was planning to buy my dad one of these with the octagon barrel in .357 for Christmas. He said always wanted one plus he has a S&W 686 so he could use the same rounds for both. The above makes me think twice though. Is this a known issue with these and is it fixable?

Nice rifle, OP. I have no real use for one but have found myself drawn to the lever action rifles like these. Maybe all those afternoons with my Grandpa watching old westerns(Rifleman).

I've had a golden boy for 5 or 6yrs. Been a great little gun. I've never ran anything except lr through it.
