DFW Cerakoter recommendation?

I have baked a few things in the house oven and it does leave a smell for a little while. The worst odor is from spraying. Jose and birddog, if you guys want to come out to argyle I will help you do your stuff. Just order whatever colors you want and bring them over. I have a blasting cabinet and everything else.

Scalpel arms in Carrollton. Owner is a really good dude. They do incredible stuff and have one day turn around on most solid color stuff. Probie worked there for a good while before joining the army.

Sorry I'm late to the party. B&S guns does some of the best work around. They did my Glock 17.

So I had B&S Guns cerakote my Kimber and I finally picked it up last weekend. Think it took 3 or 4 weeks to get it done, I wasn't in a hurry but I thought it took longer than it should. I don't have anybody else to compare the work to but I think it came out pretty nice. Wish I had taken some better before pics.

Looks good, that is a really long turn around though. As long as the texture and color is uniform, it should be good.

Are you oiling the outside of the slide when you clean that thing?

Ya Kimber has never been known for good coatings on their guns. I had an Ultra Carry that had the same problem. Although I should have taken care of it better, it's been pretty beat up from a lot of IWB carry in the summer time. And ya I thought it was a long time as well but since I wasn't in a hurry I didn't mind.

I also put on some new TFO Tritium/Fiber-Optic sights on it and they are amazing. I'll definitely go with these whenever I upgrade sights again on another gun.

I hadn't been in the past but have been after I noticed the problem. And sometimes after a 3 day camping trip it would get bad and I wouldn't oil it right away when I got back. Never had the problem with my Glocks but none of them are as old as this one either.
