  • First Purchased Pistol

Felt absolutely great to hold and the slide worked like a dream. I was going in to look at a Ruger American in .45 but I got steered into this. Had a nice "Second Amendment" rebate sale at Bass Pro, so didnt do too bad getting the H&K out the door.

My overall go-to would be a striker-fired handgun, but the H&K really felt good. I just wish it had a de-cocker. Older model P30s did.

Certainly can't go wrong with a HK. Which trigger setup did you get?

It's a double-to-single action, doesnt have the LEV ( at least i dont think)

Nope, i'm an idiot. I -do- have the Law Enforcement Modification, that's why it doesn't have a decocker.

So got some trigger time today, and I need to work better on my trigger anticipation. Most handguns I have used before have all been striker fired, and this being a double-action hammer fired gun takes some getting used to "the anticipation".

It's an enhanced double-action with reduced trigger pull, and I just have to work muscle memory to be consistant. All and all, still put lead to paper at 10 yards and 15 yards.

Either hand-me downs or loaned out. This is the first time I have actively made a buying decision on one.
