Any ideas for .223/5.56 brass online...

I have never purchased Ammo online so I don't know the ins and outs.

I think cheaper than dirt is having a special on the FDE Pmags, if not FDE, then maybe OD Green. Swing by the store and have a look.

And I couldn't find a deal like this anywhere around here...

                  FYI...

There is a guy on the Texas Hunting Forum that does AR trigger Jobs that is also a Magpul dealer. Hes a local guy in GP. He has great prices on the mags, I will be getting some from him. His screen name is Brandon972.

As far as ammo I guess I will order some from CTD soon.

What kinda Range ammo would you guys recomend? I am closest to ELM Fork so no FMJ... Although they have never once checked my 30.06 for it.

Just top load your mags with hollow point or soft point with FMJ underneath. If they check you're good to go.

Does anyone know if that will work @ Garland? They say be prepared to have all your ammo checked if shooting military caliber. Really, if I bring 500 rounds they're going to look at each one? I thought about doing just the top four or five with hollow then filling the rest with FMJ.

I'd rather skip a range session and buy reloading equipment so I can shoot higher quality for FMJ price.

I've never had my ammo searched at Garland. I've used both rifle and handgun.

They checked mine at the counter (just looked at what the box said, not the ammo) and at the range while everyone was changing targets. Maybe I looked suspicious.

And for most of my ammo I go through ammoman.com

Well, I have a bunch of .223 HP, just wouldn't mind being able to get away with some FMJ and save some cost. It'd be nice to have my mags loaded when I get there and start shooting instead of taking the time to load them. Maybe I will load a few and see if they check and get a feel for it.
