    I kinda disagree, they may shoot similarly but chances are they aren't gonna be of the same quality.

    I'm aware this rifle was given to him. But I don't get why people buy cheap rifles with polymer lowers or rifles like the DPMS oracle when there are some quality options that aren't that much more expensive. I guess it's the same reason Taurus and Hi point stay in business.


    That being said, for optics Vortex is pretty good quality. The Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6 can be had for around 300, I don't have any experience with them but I've heard good things about the sparc 2. I have a Trijicon MRO on a Midwest Industries mount and I love it.
