Looks like its time to order the rest of the cans I want. Anyone know of a Silencerco SPEQ dealer in the DFW area that DOESN'T have a year long wait?

In reality alot people may have gotten fucked out of nfa items than were before.
Do what now? A 5320 can be anything from a 5320.1 to 5320.20?

Good info as in per one section the ATF laid out their cards for their defense against letting silencers become regular firearms. They cited several court cases, but really the gist of it was "we've been doing this for this long, you can't change it". Which is complete horse shit. So no, it's not good as in "Good news everybody" but more like a good read of what the train of thought or lack of within the department.

Wonder if there is any chance of a repeal?

So every time you want a new NFA item you have to submit the photos and prints? Or do they just need to keep them on file while you're on the trust?

New set every time. It has always been this way. Everyone on your trust will need to submit them every time you submit a form 1 or 4, and everyone will need to get a NICS check.

Presumably also if you are filing a form 1 and you have an individual under 18 on your trust, you will not get approved. Same goes for a transfer from a dealer (where the transferee/transferees need to be 21). So if you have a minor on your trust (young son/daughter) you will not have your items approved.

Also in the rule change is a clause about changing the definition of a "person" to include trusts and corps. This essentially kills the machine gun form 1 lawsuit.

Rounding everyone up is going to be a kick in the nuts every time you add something.

                    ** Edit **

Can you just keep copies on hand, or do you have to go to some ATF approved place to submit them?

Thats going to get expensive fast if you have a lot of people on your trust. Damn, this really sucks.

Isn't the NICS the same check used in obtaining chl?

You can probably keep completed fp cards on hand for any future purchases, but they're generally only good for a year in my experience.

5320.23 I believe, for each trustee. I think it was somewhere in section V where the final ruling stuff was.
