I bought a Remora http://www.remoraholsterstore.com/"No Clip" holster a while back and was pleasantly surprised at how well it stay put.
I still prefer a traditional holster/belt for security, but also use the Remora when I'm walking the dog in the morning and doesn't wants to put on a gun belt.
For the thinnest profile, look for holsters with belt loops away from the holster body:

Holsters with belt loops on top of the holster body are surprisingly bulky and I've never found one that works for me.
Holster is a pretty personal item and you really have to try out a bunch of difference ones to find what works for you.
