that is the problem, semantics. Who are they going to take them from if not from the "your" they are speaking to. How about get them to say "no one is taking anyone's guns" and then hold them to it.

You can't nail them to the wall for an exact description. They live in nuances and broad terms so they can redefine things as they go. Global Warming is now Climate Change, etc.

First they came for PTSD vets, but I said nothing because I didn't have PTSD.
Then they came for ADHD men, but I said nothing because I didn't' have ADHD .
Then they came for those on Zoloft, but I said nothing because I didn't take Zoloft.
    Etc...etc...

So make them criminals by criminalizing mental issues , with the penalty being loss of your second amendment right. Gotcha, he should have used the phrase " not criminals yet ".

thats actually a valid point. sadly, most people with mental health issues are blind to them, or unwilling to acknowledge them.

            • This is an older article, but a friend and I were discussing Washington's "I will not comply" movement and how it would pan out on a federal level.
I've seen the t-shirts and bumper stickers and sheriff's proclaiming they will not enforce i594, and while that isn't my thing, I have to say I'm a little jealous of thier audacity.

              • Georgia General Assembly, is one of the largest state legislatures in the nation. The General Assembly consists of two chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate.

On January 11, Democrats in Georgia’s state house introduced a bill that bans “assault weapons” and opens the door for the “seizure” of such weapons, along with accessories like “high capacity” magazines.

                The bill–HB 731–is sponsored by Mary Margaret Oliver (D-83rd), Stacey Abrams (D-89th), Carolyn Hugley (D-136th), Pat Gardiner (D-57th), Dar’shun Kendrick (D-93rd), Dee Dawkins-Haigler (D-91st).

According to the text of HB 731, the bill focuses on ” dangerous instrumentalities and practices” by prohibiting the “possession, sale, transport, distribution, or use of certain assault weapons, large capacity magazines, armor-piercing bullets, and incendiary .50 caliber bullets.” Moreover, the details punishment for crimes involving “the possession, sale, transport, distribution, or use of certain assault weapons, large capacity magazines, armor-piercing bullets, and incendiary .50 caliber bullets.”

It also “[designates] certain weaponry and ammunition as contraband and [requires] seizure of such by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.”
