I picked up a new mkiii 22/45 the other day. Its all rails and no sights, as well as threaded. I put a little sureshot red dot that i had, on it and it is much more accurate than I expected.

I'm going to order a new hammer bushing and some larger mag plates, as the mag ejection issue is annoying.

Add a volquartsen sear as well. They run about $20-30 or so. You won't regret it. A standard mkII hammer bushing is all you need to remove the mag disconnect (It seems you're aware).

i had wondered if the sear was worth much. The trigger is remarkably short and crisp, as is. I had eyeballed the tandemkross bushing, I had read it was best to swap over to mkii stuff of you used a mkii bushing.

I fiddled around with a little laser I had today and it did well at the distance I sighted it (10yards) and not so well beyond, lol.

(The rails gave me a tacticool bug, I guess)

Two days boys, two days. I thought they had it in stock up there at that ole Grab A Gun place but no. I just wanted to finger it and see what I thought on the green, 22 lite Ruger, but it was at the warehouse. Well I gave in and ordered it.

After seeing my mother try and manipulate her Bersa CC at the range a few weeks ago I talked her into a new hammerless Ruger 38 which they had a good price on.

This thread was very informative gentleman, thanks. Now I need to get this damn trust thing going so I can get a suppressor.

Aside from my CCW, I also keep a little Jennings J-22 like this as a "burner"

Without my gun hobby. I would cut off my own dick and let the rats eat it...

For when you murder someone, but have the financial forethought to use an inexpensive weapon?

Well that is a good thing to post in public.

Damn, man. You probably don't even know the first rule of fight club.

Isn't the point of a burner the fact that no one knows you have it and it wasn't purchased with a paper trail?

                      Well, that was the point.
