Well you see here...
The effective range of the rifle is limited to not say the bullet. But the effective range before collision. If there was to be a terror attach in say London. There is no place outside Hyde Park that you cannot go in a straight line for 350 feet before colliding into a wall.
So in proper terms the range is only limited to the bullet free flying before it either A. hits the target B. hits barn wall like AK-47.
